Abstract
Lumbar spinoscopies were performed on asymptomatic individuals. If the
spinoscopy testing procedure demonstrated a functionality of the back movements equal to
or greater than 90%, an MRI was obtained of the lumbar spine. Twenty subjects were
included in the study. The results demonstrated that a normal spinoscopic examination of
the lumbar spine is associated with normal MRIs, or MRIs that only demonstrate a minimal
degree of disc protrusion(s). No herniated discs were identified and no encroachment of
the neuroforamina by disc material was identified.
